Designed by Van de Stadt and built in 1991, Suilven has been well maintained and loved throughout her life. She comes with an extensive set of sails and all the electronic gadgetry you’d expect in a boat of this calibre.

Suilven is spacious and comfortable, with double berths in the forward and rear cabins and two singles in the main cabin. She can easily be sailed solo.

She’s currently sitting on the cradle, which comes with the boat, at Creran Marine, Barcaldine, Argyll. Recent surveys are available.

Power comes from a 3GM30 29hp Yanmar engine with a folding prop. She’s fitted with roller furling, an anchor windlass with anchor and chain, a two-ring stove with oven, Raymarine autopilot and Raymarine radio.

Sails include a fully battened mainsail, number one and number three foresails, and two spinnakers, along with sail dodgers bearing the boat’s name, a large folding metal-framed cockpit canopy, and a full set of lazyjacks.

Included in the sale: shore power cabling, an unused rescue sling, 3 fire extinguishers, brass barometer and brass clock, a fender step and six large fenders, 5 winch handles, a boat hook and brush, three 10-litre fuel cans, two full deck harnesses, life jackets, and a hand-held radio.

As the owner is retiring from many years of sailing on the West Coast of Scotland, he’s happy to include a range of accumulated boat accoutrements — many paper charts, a dinghy (one compartment has a slow air leak), numerous fenders, assorted ropes, pilot books, an unused wet suit, a spare anchor and chain, a radar reflector, an electric distress flare, and other assorted bits and pieces.
